sketchbook painting : color swatches

Went outside to match colors I found in nature, to their nearest equivalents I could produce in oil paint. The swatches created look nice together.

    This makes me miss Portland. We have two seasons in Phoenix; outrageously hot and medium warm with mostly sun.

    Your swatches remind me of fall.
    I miss it.

    I used to live in Portland also, and my favorite scene was all the beautiful ivy turning flame red, hanging from the buildings and the side of the freeways. It is so beautiful there.
