urban sketchers contribution

My Urban Sketchers contributions. Went through some of my old sketchbooks and found a lot of outdoor sketchwork. Gets me motivated to go outside and draw.

  1. I'm impressed by the amount of sketches and variety of styles you employ in your journals. I find buildings very difficult and applaud your for your drawings. I like the elements of collage, too.

i especially like the drawing of the house, with the oranges and yellows in the background. that one is really just magical.

    are those prisma color markers?

  6. Thanks Amplified. The color comes from Luma Watercolor Inks, and I smeared orange with a little water to make it fade to yellow (if we're talking about the same image). The other color in these drawings almost all came from the same Luma inks. Sometimes I put the ink in my rapidograph pens and drew colored lines that way. The other soft colors came from colored pencils, mostly faber-castell polychromos.

    Thanks for your comment :)
