Such an interesting composition! I assume the drawing underneath the girls was being covered up and the rest just happened?

Thanks for your thoughts Shirley. The drawing of the girl (in pencil) was actually the last thing I put in there. And the black space behind the three girls (pen line drawing) was put in just to be a backdrop for the pen work. I think because I enjoyed thinking of the pen-shapes as something near black and white objects.
