  1. Ester, have you ever listened to the 'band' Download? I think you'd like them. Dave McKean did a lot of their album art too!

  2. Best of luck Ester! This must be exciting. Out my way, houses average 500k, and they aren't that good. If my job wasn't so good, I'd move in a heartbeat. In the meantime, I really like how you documented this--the words and drawings. I also see you saw Mum live-how cool! I saw 'em when they were the "it band" about six years ago, when both twin sisters were together still. They were pretty amazing, how they would paly all kinds of instruments--almost everything but the kitchen sink (and they may have even played one of those too--I'm not sure). Shame only a handful showed up.

r_sail mentioned Download--the longtime Skinny Puppy instrumental side project. Good stuff--kind of dark, and yes, nice cover art too.

  4. thanks for all the music info, I'll check into that. Especially instrumental work, I don't care too often for voices in music unless they can sound good as noise.

  5. Also... "III" is instrumental, but their first two albums had two vocalists... so, not really instrumental. I think you'd really like the "III" album. It's wonderful. One of my all time favorite electronic records. I'm still rather updset that they never did a remix disc for that record. ANd McKean's art on that disc is some of my favorite he's ever done.
