frosty

trying to work on oil paint a little more lately. Faces have always been the biggest challenge, so I need to work more on them.

  1. I've never posted here...but I do check your blog from time to time.

I HAD to post on this one though. That is absolutely beautiful work right there.

I saw your color project. I think I'll hop on that as soon as I can squeeze in a few minutes. Maybe tomorrow...

  5. What an appropriate title too Ester--she even looks cold--like she's shivering maybe. You always manage to get such clean, rich colors going on in your work--such a challenge with oils. It's been years since I've done oil and when I see work of this calibre, I'm both inspired and want to throw in the towel. :) Looking forward to more! Oh, and btw, the painting for mom, and the idea behind it is so nice. It gave me an idea to frame a painting I did of some cherry blossoms--something I'm not crazy about myself but I know she'd like.

  8. Thanks Jose, Steve and Nancy! I really appreciate all your thoughts on this. It has been challenging working in oils, but fun too.

Steve, no need to throw in the towel. You are progressing at such a fast speed with your drawings. Just keep on doing what you're doing, because it's definitely moving!
