out the window
I went out to get some noodles today, and saw this building across the street to sketch. It was getting dark and harder to see as time went by. My favorite part is the old wooden panel under the far window. It was kind of white-washed and faded.
Oh yeah, I love finding those faded and worn aspects of older architecture--those textural imperfections. Good find and rendering here. I love the post with a drawing of your great grandmother and her work! I've always wondered just how much artistic abilities are genetic, or can they be a result of socialogical influence? Maybe both? Hope you have an excellent weekend!
