sketchbooks!

Sketchbooks were added to the website! Huge project of scanning in tons of old artwork to share. Go check it out! Feedback is welcome too, if I can make any changes for easier navigation, or if it's working great - it's all appreciated :)

  1. Too totally cool! I really like the way it looks, and it's easy to navigate. One question though, are the images being displayed at their native resolution? I didn't see a way to see a larger view. If they are larger than their display size you might reduce them for a faster page load.

  3. thanks!
I went ahead and lowered the resolution on all the images as much as I could for a little faster load. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Isn't it fun to look over old sketchbooks. Sometimes they're like a timewarp. :)

  5. it really is a timewarp! It's so bizarre to see old drawings, compared to what I'm doing now, and what I used to think was good, etc. So weird :)

  6. Such spectacular work! I can't wait until I can spend some time going through each sketchbook. I think the navigation system works very well. I like how you can click on a sketchbook and flip through the pages, rather than having to click on different little icon images for each individual page. Is there a way that you can allow people to post comments about specific pages or is this someting you are wanting to stay away from as it is your business site? I was thinking this only because there is some of your work I am particularly fond of for various reasons.

  7. thanks for your thoughts Suzanne! I haven't even thought of having a comment section for the images, but I think that's a great idea. I'm still debating if I want to overhaul the look of the current site there or leave it for awhile. Maybe in my next changeover I'll find a way to add comment space. I definitely want to add an email signup for news and event info.
