giant camel

I saw this article in Yahoo news about giant camel bones found, bones the size of an elephant. I started to draw a camel and never really noticed how much their matted fur resembles sheep's wool.

This is cool, it took me a minute to resolve the camel's face. Excellent!

This is really good! I love that a lot of the detail is left up to the viewer!

Looks like you've come back strong. I feel bad about not working on stuff now.

Giant camels would be fun to ride probably. I'd trade in my car for one. It would be very Dr. Seussian.

I love you sunny day sketches. Makes me think of crisp clear fall. We should have another Ice Age. Then the Southern US would have longer autumns and maybe giant camels too.

Thanks all!
tami - i know what you mean about this face being a little obscure. I've been thinking that it may help to calm down the background some.

I think that getting sick had forced my body into a creative dormant stage, and I do full force with the art again. It seems like I can breathe better and see the shine in life more vibrant now. I needed that break of downtime.

Wicked. Prehistoric beasts rule, as does this here artwork.

That's fantastic, especially extracting the image from the article.
